COLA

The Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) — also known as Goods and Services Differential, Commodities and Services Allowance, or Cost of Living Index – an allowance to adjust for differences in goods and services costs between two locations.

Balance Sheet

The Balance Sheet is the traditional way to compensate an employee on an expatriate assignment. In recent years, other approaches have gained in popularity, however, the Balance Sheet remains the gold standard for protecting employees’ pay on assignment.

Tax

Typically, tax is one of the biggest costs tied to sending someone on a global assignment. An accurate determination of hypothetical and gross-up taxes is essential to the design of equitable expatriate compensation packages.

Per Diems

Calculate per diems that cover costs for employees’ meals, transportation, and accommodation in a host location while on short-term assignments, business trips, or commuter arrangements.
